My Review

 The Dark Guardian series have something that makes me addicted to them. They aren't the best written books out there but the typical girl falls in love, stumbles on an obstacle, overcomes it and they live happily ever after never fails to engross me.

It’s predictable like the other 3 previous books but it never stopped me from turning eagerly the pages to read more. I wish they were longer! (They are kind of short for my liking.)

In this book though, the story doesn't follow the same pattern as in the previous books. Hayden doesn’t live with the other Shifters since her ability of feeling other Shifter’s emotions prevent her from being close to them. It’s too overwhelming and staying among the humans and secluding herself from them is the best result until the creature comes.

The Harvester is one of the oldest creatures that the elders thought that was a myth. Now it’s at Wolford killing Shifters and has named its next victim. Hayden.

Hayden runs away from Wolford and stays hidden among the humans, waiting for her first full moon and waiting for the Harvester. She never saw Daniel.

Daniel is the one who was assigned to bring her back; and Hayden on the way home, falls for him until she discovers something. Daniel is not what he seems to be.

Overall, I loved the book. It’s a new favourite and definitely recommend this for those who would like a light read and of course to the fans of this series.

At the first full moon after her birthday, her greatest fear is realized: She doesn't transform. Brittany is so desperate to become a wolf that she'll go to extremes she never thought possible . . . and put all the Dark Guardians in incredible danger. 

My Review

This is the third book, following Brittany as the story continues. The Dark Guardians still have Bio-Chrome to worry about but it's the last thing Brittany can think about. Her first full moon is approaching and she hasn't find a mate yet. No one seems intersted in her and the guy she loves has his own issues to solve.

Since no guy is steeping forward to help her with her first transformation and Connor isn't intersted in her, she decides to take the leap alone. She will stand under the moon alone. Everything good so far unlesss you count the fact that she might die. If she goes through it alone big chances are, she dies.

Her first full moon comes and goes and she stays the same. She doesn't transform. Devastated and heart broken she returns to Wolford were everyone thinks she survived her first transformation. She finds it hard to tell the truth and believes that if the others find out, she'll be evicted out of their world and she doesn't want that.

Connor finally notices her and things steam up a bit between them but Bio-Chrome comes in. Although Brittany hates them for what they're doing to the Shifters she can't refuse to acknowledge what they do.

She will risk everything for what she wants but that means risking Connor's life and his love not to mention the rest of the shifters.

The story develops quickly and we find Brittany pretending what she's not. She finds it hard especially when Connor finally shows interest in her but she knows he deserves more than her, a real shifter not a static. 

I enjoyed this story but it lacked something. It seemed rushed and even though I wanted to, I wasn't convinced that Connor had gotten over Lindsey so quickly and now wanted Brittany. Hard to believe if you think what she did to him, which wasn't fair.

Overall I would recommend it to read it, especially if you have read the previous books.

My Review

The second book of the Dark Guardians series follows the rest of the story through Lindsey's eyes which we see her as Kayla's best friend in the first book. Basically the story follows the groups' adventure but in her point of view. 

Growing up knowing she was a werewolf made her love what she is and made her wonder what will happen if the rest of the world knew. They would have to hide what they are but as the Bio-Chrome group wants to capture some of them to prove that werewolves exist it makes their lives difficult.

While everyone is careful and waiting the next move from Bio-Chrome, Lindsey is torn between choosing Connor and Rafe as her mate. Time is passing fast as her first full moon is in two weeks. Connor is the right choice according to her parents and she believes it too. 

He was always in her life, in every big occasion and he loved her much that Connor ended up tattooing her name as it was the way of a male declaring his mate. Lindsey was ok with that since he was the only one she had ever felt for until she started having those strong feelings that for Rafe that scared her and didn't know how to handle. She had known Rafe from her childhood as well as Connor but she never felt the urge and pull he had on her before. 

The story is developing slowly as for the Bio-Chrome and the reviling of werewolves but seeing this romance develop in times of danger was satisfying. Don't pick these books if you are expecting clear adventure. It's a romance books and this is my favourite book so far.

My Review

An interesting story, that begins with this first book in the Dark Guardians series. I was always a vampire fun but these books made me see werewolves with another eye. Of course I will always have a soft spot for vampires but this book was plain wonderful in a kind of cheesy and fairytale kind of way. 

It's basically a romance series with a little action going on. It's all about love, destiny and forever. Werewolves mark their mates with a tattoo on their shoulders and if a guy doesn’t end up with the girl they are destine for, they end up alone forever. There is a special connection between male and female that only exists between werewolves making their love true and last forever.

It sounds cheesy and it felt like it, since the author introduces us to this world through Kayla's eyes really fast. She works at the park, where her real parents died, for the summer in order to get the traumatic experience she had when she was little, over. There she meets the others and among them Lucas that scares her and attracts her at the same time. 

On the verge of a crazy scientist who wants to capture them, she discovers that werewolves are real and she is one of them. And if she doesn't pick Lucas as her mate till the first full moon after her 17th birthday-to help her through her transformation-she might even die.

Loved the book! I will definitely read the rest of them. There are 4 books in total so far. It a perfect book for those that are hungry for some cheesy love-for-ever story.
