My Top 10 Book Covers I Wish I Could Redesign
1) Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
I'm probably one of the few that haven't read these books but just the covers themselves, doesn't make me want to read them. That doesn't mean though I won't read them. I own the first three books so it's just a matter of time. They could have done better.
2) Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder
This book has so many different covers I can't decide which to follow. I like my books to follow the same cover idea in a series. Even though I wanted the last cover here, I ended up with the previous of that. Sometimes though it's hard to maintain a series with a certain cover because most of the time bookstores just carry one type of cover or that cover is discontinued.
3) Night World and Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith
4) Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
5) Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews
6) Evernight series by Claudia Gray
7) Liar Society by Lisa Roecker & Laura Roecher
I got so excited about this book and was waiting for the cover reveal, imaging something totally different when I saw this. I really dislike this and it would definitely put me off and would think twice about buying this. Of course though, 'don't judge a book from it's cover' it's a phrase I keep in mind.
8) Sticky Fingers by Niki Burnham
9) Strange Angels series by Lilli St. Crow
I would change all these covers for the exception of the first book in the series, Strange Angels. I could live with that.
10) Nightshade series by Andrea Cremer
The Old Covers (which I love)

Now that they changed the covers what should I do? I have Nightshade in hardcover (the old purple one) and when I'll get the second book in hardcover (I need them in the same format) it won't much the previous book. Only the paperback does.

Poison Study, I managed to get the full set of the first cover, the purple one. So I'm pretty pleased with that as these covers are my favourites. There's way to many different covers than is necessary though.

I definitely agree with Vampire Academy (they are first on my list too) and Vampire Diaries. I also love, love, love the original Nightshade cover, but these new covers aren't doing it for me.
Frosy, you know how obsessed with Vampire Academy I am but I am not fan of these covers, and I think it really doesn't help readers to pick this book up I wish they were better considering how great the books are!
BTW hurry up and read these books, I am waiting on your reviews, seriously your going to be so obsessed with this series you won't know what to do with yourself so I need this to be the next book you read, trust me you won't regret it!!!
I like the last cover for poison study as well, I think the evernight series is okay I am just happy they look like they are part of the same series!
I must admit the liar society is a book I won't read because of the cover it doesn't look appealing to me and I don't care to know what it's about unless someone hounds me to read it! I actually like the strange angel series i think it's nice even though it's a bit over done.
As for th nighshade series I agree, I will be very upset when I buy wolfsbane and it won't match. I wish they would have kept the original green one for hard cover and made the newer ones just for paperback. I mean the new designs aren't horrible but I wish they would have kept them seperate!

I just ordered Magic bites, despite the cover. I haven't started it yet but it might have been one I overlooked had I not read a fab review about it.
